Since its foundation, the R\u00e9sidence Universitaire Lanteri (RUL) has been managed by the Congregation of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary (OMV) as a non-profit association (Law of 1901) for the support and development of the works of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary (RUL-ASDO).<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The R\u00e9sidence Universitaire Lant\u00e9ri was founded in 1960 by Father Secondo Richiardone OMV, an Italian-born Catholic priest and member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary. For almost thirty years, he was the company’s general manager. He built the student residence (1961) and the Sainte Rita chapel (1992). He died prematurely in 1995.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The R\u00e9sidence Universitaire Lanteri (RUL): an international residence<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Father Richiardone wanted to create a student center in the Paris suburbs open to all nationalities. This is the reason for diversity in origins and cultures, languages and religions, history and experience. The RUL international student residence aims to build unity through respect for one another. Respect is the first rule at the R\u00e9sidence Universitaire Lanteri (RUL). Such an environment is beneficial in helping students prepare for a future based on proven values such as mutual support and conviviality, the ability to take on challenges and assume responsibility.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The international<\/strong> dimension of the Lanteri University Residence is of great symbolic importance to the Oblates of the Virgin Mary who run it <\/strong>, since their charism is international<\/strong> in scope. Depending on the year, the R\u00e9sidence Universitaire Lanteri (RUL) welcomes more than a dozen different nationalities: French, Italian, Canadian, American, English, Czech, Reunionese, Mauritian, German….<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Construction of the Chapelle Sainte Rita<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Father Richiardone also wanted to build a chapel dedicated to Saint Rita to welcome believers who would come here for a spiritual break. He wanted to implant the charism of the founder of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary (OMV), Father Pio Bruno Lant\u00e9ri: formation of the Christian laity, awakening and deepening of the faith, adherence to the person of Christ through “spiritual exercises” given in the form of periodic retreats or accompaniments. He also wanted everyone to be able to find a community of religious and priests available for confessions and spiritual encounters, with a view to the full development of the human person.
